Located on the lower level of Hagerstown's historic Miller House, home of the Washington County Historical Society, the kinship Family Heritage Research Center offers a wide variety of genealogical materials year-round to the public free of charge. Closed holidays.
On-street parking available. Please note that on-street parking is metered Tuesday-Friday from 9 am - 5 pm, and that kinship staff may not always be able to make change for the meters.

Before visiting kinship, please look over our reading room policies and procedures. Please note that food and beverages, purses, bags, coats, cell phones, digital cameras, personal scanners, pens and other permanent marking implements are not allowed in the kinship reading room. Many of the materials held at kinship are available for reproduction.
If the requested materials can be safely photocopied, copies can be provided at a cost of $0.25/page. For onsite photographic reproductions of prints and negatives up to 8 x 10, the cost is $3.00/image.
